I got my GS 4 days ago, she is 9 weeks old and she already learned how to
do her stuff in the training pads. Amazing. You need to follow a few steps
    and they learn really fast.

    @guardcorp YOU DON’T NEED A COLLAR LIKE THAT. IT’S CRUEL,AND IT MAKES
WALKING A GSD NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT CAUSING HIM MUCH PAIN. GET A
”GENTLE LEADER’ HARNESS (AROUND $20). HE WONT BE ABLE TO PULL OR CAUSE A
PROBLEM WITH THIS HARNESS. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WALK YOUR DOG WITH NO PAIN
TO HIM OR YOU, AND HE WILL GET USED TO WALKING AS HE SHOULD AND YOU WILL
    BOTH ENJOY THE WALK.

Basically, when the dog hears the click they know they have done something
good and it helps them repeat doing good things

@ARSA525 depends. females dislike other females. males dislike males. its a
dominance issue. Both are equal really it’s all in how you raise them.
However If you want a german shepherd make sure you DONT get an american
shepherd get one with pure german decent have breeder show proof. The
american shepherds have tons of trouble.

    right?

  • mrj1113 says:

Mine is like yours guardcorp, she don’t like other dogs and if she sees one
she’s ready to attack. I don’t let her near other people, and I keep her on
a choke chain also. She is 100% loyal to me and my family though, and she
knows I am her master but anyone else needs to stay away.

When your guests enter have some treats ready for them to pick up as they
come in. If the dog jumps or licks you get them to turn around and walk
out, if the dog is calm the guest gives a treat. Pretty soon he/she will
learn that being cool pays dividends
