Nice video, I’m just curious why you trained the dogs to indicate by
barking at the person? In my opinion that is a great way to scare the crap
outta someone that is already scared lol Especially if the lost person is
afraid of dogs. I am a SAR K9 handler, my dog just goes past the person and
comes back to me and takes me to the person. To each their own I guess :)

Pack leader is true because think of them like wolves it’s pack there’s a
leader who run shit . Same with dogs they travel in packs and there’s a
pack leader who runs shit if there’s tho leaders they will fight until they
establish who’s leader . Runs in the whole dog / wolf family.

I really hope you do not still follow training like this. It works but so
does beating a child into submission. Positive training is far more
effective and yields better result. The pack mentality, dominance bullshit
has been debunked time and time again.

If all these behaviorists, behavior consultants and trainers don’t need to
be a pack leader, than neither do you. (youtube video)

  • Earthling1984 says:

For my dog, I make him surrender of course, but first I make him do what I
told him to do. So if I say ‘come here’ and he doesn’t, I grab him, put him
where he was supposed to go, then tower over him and he will lay on the
ground. Once he is calm I say ‘good boy, ok’ and repeat. It has worked so
far because as you can see he listened to me.

  • SuperCuntpuncher says:

You’re fucking retarded. Sounds like you own an out of control chihuahua or
    an aggressive cocker spaniel.

  • tsiroeht ycaripsnoc says:

in the wolf community if a lower level wolf manages to gets a bone or scrap
of meat away from an upper level wolf they are never punished, they are
allowed to eat it. Just saying, since the “alpha dog” mentality is based in
    wolf behavior.

o.o…Holy shit what am I doing with my life…

  • Earthling1984 says:

I just made them up. Food works best, I just train him at meal time and
train him with food. During the training days/weeks, he got no treats, just
food from me while training. If your training session becomes too long,
just make him to one last thing, then give him a handful of food to finish
off eating. I found he learned everything pretty much instantly by this
    method.

  • Earthling1984 says:

Lets just agree to disagree. If what you do works for you, great. What I do
works great for me and my dog, so again, great 🙂 Dogs are much different
than humans, and I’m sure humans can think up many ways to train them. Just
because someone uses a different method doesn’t mean it is wrong. You
attacked me, yet Jack is amazing and learns things faster than almost any
dog I’ve seen. So keep pushing your way if you like, and I’ll just keep
    doing my way 🙂

  • Charlie & Daisy JRTs says:

I use only force-free positve based training, which is a much more
effective and dog-friendly. The pack-leader theory is now an unacceptable
way to train where I live because it causes dogs to become aggressive,
    nervous, fearful..

  • Earthling1984 says:

My dog is the same. I can take food from him (but it is best to not take it
out of their mouth, as that is an aggressive move by the human – it is best
to make him surrender and drop it, then take it). But yes I can do that too
    with my dog.
